Monastery of Kechrovouni
Our first stop is the Monastery of Kechrovouni, a sacred convent nestled on the slopes of Mount Kechros. This historic monastery, home to devout nuns, is closely linked to Saint Pelagia, who had a vision of the Virgin Mary that led to the discovery of the miraculous icon of Panagia Evangelistria.
Loutra Village – Jesuit Fathers’ & Ursuline Museums
Next, we visit Loutra, a picturesque village known for its deep religious and educational history. Here, we explore the Jesuit Fathers’museum, which offers a unique glimpse into the daily life of the 19th-century monks and the Ursuline Convent museum, a significant self-sufficient institution that shaped the education of girl scholars from 1862 until 1991.
Pyrgos Village – Church of Saint Dimitrios & Traditional Walk
We continue to Pyrgos, one of the most beautiful villages of Tinos. Visit the charming Church of Saint Dimitrios, a peaceful place of worship, before taking a stroll through the scenic alleys adorned with traditional marble craftsmanship.
